Anti-Ragging Policy

At Kalaivanar N.S.K. Polytechnic College (KNSKPT), we are fully committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all our students. In accordance with the directives of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the college maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form.

Ragging includes any behavior that results in:

  • Physical or mental harassment
  • Intimidation or abuse (verbal or written)
  • Forced activities (whether academic, physical, or cultural)
  • Public embarrassment or humiliation
  • Disruption of normal life, studies, or routine in the name of "introduction" or "initiation"

Whether inside the college campus, hostel, transport, or even on social media, all forms of ragging are strictly prohibited and punishable.

🛡️ Anti-Ragging Measures in Place

To ensure a ragging-free campus, KNSKPT has established the following preventive and disciplinary mechanisms:

  • Anti-Ragging Committee: Comprising senior faculty members, hostel wardens, and administrative heads to monitor, investigate, and act upon any complaints.
  • Anti-Ragging Squad: Surprise inspections in hostels, classrooms, canteen, and campus zones.
  • Helpline Support: Confidential reporting channels for students to report incidents without fear.
  • Orientation Programs: Awareness sessions for freshers and seniors about the dangers, consequences, and legal implications of ragging.
  • Affidavit Submission: As mandated by AICTE, every student and parent must submit an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission.
  • CCTV Surveillance: Strategic placement of surveillance systems to monitor student activities in common areas.

Any student found guilty of participating in or abetting ragging will face strict disciplinary actions, including:

  • Immediate suspension from classes and campus
  • Cancellation of admission
  • Withholding of certificates
  • Legal action as per the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act and AICTE regulations
  • Expulsion and debarment from pursuing further education

At KNSKPT, we actively promote a culture of mutual respect, friendship, and mentoring among juniors and seniors. Our focus is on creating a welcoming environment where every student can learn and grow without fear or discrimination.

Say NO to Ragging. YES to Respect, Equality, and Brotherhood.
